What we actually do
Step 1: Whole-home inspection (45–60 min)
- Walk every exterior wall checking for gaps where utility lines enter (cable, gas, AC line-set, water, dryer vent)
- Check garage door seals
- Check basement / crawlspace for visible cracks, foundation gaps, sill-plate openings
- Inside: under sinks, behind appliances, in attics for droppings + rub marks
Step 2: Seal every entry point (this is the work most "exterminators" skip)
- Holes larger than 1/4 inch get copper mesh stuffed in, then sealed with NP1 silicone (mice can't chew through copper)
- Larger gaps get hardware cloth + expanding foam
- Damaged door sweeps replaced
- Dryer vent covers swapped for pest-proof versions
Step 3: Set traps
- Snap traps placed perpendicular to walls (mice run along walls) at active sign locations — typically 6–14 traps in an average home
- Interior bait stations only in walls/voids where snap traps aren't practical (and only if no pets/kids)
Step 4: Exterior protection
- 2–4 tamper-resistant bait stations along the exterior perimeter, positioned at corners and likely entry routes
- Stations weatherproof, child-proof, anchored to the ground
Step 5: Follow-up visits
- We come back at 7–10 days to check trap counts, reset, and inspect for new sign
- A second follow-up at 21 days confirms the population is dead
What we don't do
- We don't bait first and seal later. Bait without exclusion = an endless problem.
- We don't use just glue boards (cruel, ineffective)
- We don't put bait stations indoors near children or pets — snap traps are safer
Guarantee
If you see active mice (new droppings, fresh scratching) within 60 days of completion, we come back free until they're gone. That's why we seal first — it's the only way to actually win this.
