What you're actually paying for
A barrier mosquito treatment isn't a yard fog — it's targeted residual spray on the surfaces mosquitoes rest on during the day: shaded shrubs, fence lines, the underside of deck rails, lower tree branches, foundation perimeter. Adult mosquitoes contact the residue and die within minutes.
We use Bifen-It or Talstar P (bifenthrin), one of the longest-residual mosquito products available. It bonds to leaves and holds up through normal rain for 21–30 days.
What's included per treatment
- Survey of breeding sources (we'll flag standing water on your property — even a bottle cap of water is a mosquito nursery)
- Targeted spray on resting areas (NOT a fog of the whole yard)
- Treatment of fence lines, mulch beds, foundation perimeter
- No spray on flowering plants (pollinator protection)
- Re-treatment if heavy rain within 7 days
Pre-event ("party spray") option
Booking a backyard wedding, BBQ, or graduation party? A pre-event treatment 24–48 hours before the event dramatically cuts mosquito pressure. $125–$200 for a one-shot application, no monthly commitment.
What we can't do
- We can't eliminate mosquitoes flying in from neighboring untreated yards. The treatment knocks down mosquitoes that contact your treated surfaces, but new ones fly in from anywhere within ~150 yards.
- We can't stop mosquitoes if there's standing water you won't fix. A clogged gutter generates 100x more mosquitoes than the rest of the yard combined.
