Can pest control be done in the rain?

Light rain is usually fine — modern microencapsulated products (Demand CS, Suspend Polyzone, Talstar P) are designed to bond to surfaces and resist normal precipitation within 30–60 minutes of application. Heavy rain or active storms reduce effectiveness and we typically reschedule. Interior treatments and gel baits are unaffected by weather.

Our rain policy

  • Light drizzle / forecast clear within 2 hours: we treat
  • Active light rain: we treat interior + protected exterior; reschedule full perimeter
  • Heavy rain or thunderstorm: we reschedule entirely, no charge for the call-out
  • Heavy rain within 7 days of mosquito barrier treatment: automatic free re-treatment

Why this matters

A common consumer-grade product like store-bought Spectracide can wash off in moderate rain. Professional microencapsulated products (the "CS" in Demand CS stands for "capsule suspension") are engineered to bond to leaves and surfaces. The active ingredient is in micro-droplets that survive normal weather.

If you're booked and it's raining, we'll call you 90 minutes before your window. You'll never get billed for a weather-driven reschedule.
